Compliance Check

General Use

Costco

Full pallet displays generally use a 48 x 40 footprint with no overhang and buyer-specific visual requirements.

  • 48 x 40 pallet baseline
  • Common target: up to 58-60 in total display height
  • Often designed for 52 in transit double-stack height
  • Commonly cited load capacity: 2,500 lb

Sam's Club

Recent guidance strongly emphasizes 48 x 40 full 9-block pallets with true four-way entry.

  • 48 x 40 full 9-block pallet
  • Odd-sized pallets not allowed for domestic orders
  • Stringer, GMA, and corrugated pallets not accepted
  • Display-skirt guidance should be confirmed per program

BJ's Wholesale

BJ's guidance is thinner in public sources, so this mode uses conservative club-store defaults.

  • 48 x 40 four-way pallet baseline
  • 40 in main-facing assumption
  • Conservative 2,100 lb planning cap
  • Confirm tray and buyer packet requirements before release
Method: The calculator tests both carton orientations and uses the better count: max(floor(L / cartonL) × floor(W / cartonW), floor(L / cartonW) × floor(W / cartonL)). When a skirt is enabled, usable footprint becomes (palletL - 2t) × (palletW - 2t).
Public references checked during rebuild include Sam's Club structural packaging standards, iGPS pallet summaries, Bay Cities' Costco/Sam's pallet display guide, and public BJ's compliance summaries. Treat this as a design estimator, not a substitute for a current buyer/vendor packet.
